THE STORY - Edmundo's Experiences with Michael in Havana in January 2010

THE STORY:

Click on this link to the fully illustrated story of Edmundo's return to Cuba in January 2010 after living in eXile for 50 years in the USA.

PHOTO ALBUMS:

Edmundo writes for his family:
In order to facilitate viewing of the photos taken in Cuba we have put them all together in this one convenient blog page.

Please note that the order starts from the last day in Havana and goes back to the day of arrival. Also, you can scroll down and view the slide shows on this page or if you prefer, you can double click on each one and it will open in full screen for better viewing. When it’s open in full screen mode, you can then go through the slides one by one taking your time to read the captions.

For Michael's family and friends:

We have also prepared one additional Photo Album of general touristic interest, which is shown in the right-hand bar of this blog. Again, the captions tell a great story. Double click on it and open to full screen for better viewing.

  1. Michael, Lots reminded me of my own pilgrimage to Shanghai although without the intensity of being "one who had left for exile", and I kept looking for some context/background to why Edmundo actually left Cuba, shat were the circumstances leading up to his "departure", why did his parents decide to send him out...

  3. I have downloaded the whole story to read at leisure. Edmundo looks really good even if a little reflective in some pictures. Marie Isackson, Brisbane

  4. I found the report on the trip very interesting, I was wondering what Edmundo’s final feelings were about his visit.

  5. My heart goes out to Edmundo, the pain is in his eyes.

I haven’t read the complete story as yet but have printed it and will take home to read,
It brought me to tears what I have read so far.
